Would be great if somebody who understands firewall better than me to give me some suggestions on how I can get VLC to play this movie from my external DVD player. I am not too technical when it comes to firewall so I didn't dive too deep into changing settings because I don't want to mess up my computer in ways I don't know how to fix. I tried to see if I can add VLC as a trusted program, however I don't understand how to do that nor can I find the program listed in the "Program Control" tab of the firewall. I have tried disabling firewall altogether, going into advanced settings & tinkering with some of those settings as well. I just messed with firewall settings for the past hour & cannot find a solution myself. I searched online for solutions & most of them point to a firewall blocking access to playing the DVD. However, when I try to play the movie, I get the error message shown in the subject of this post.
